Follow the steps below to connect OAD to Workable:

Prerequisite: Create Required Custom Fields

Before connecting Workable to OAD, you must create the required custom fields in Workable.

Create Candidate Custom Fields

  1. Sign in to your Workable account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Under Recruiting, select Workflow.
  4. Open Candidate Custom Fields.
  5. Click Create New Section.
  6. Enter OAD as the section name and create it.

Within the OAD section, create the following fields:

Field 1

  • Field Title: OAD Fit & Gaps
  • Field Type: Paragraph
  • Provider: User
  • Default Setting for New Jobs: Enabled
  • Click Add Custom Field.

Field 2

  • Field Title: OAD Match Score
  • Field Type: Short Text
  • Provider: User
  • Default Setting for New Jobs: Enabled
  • Click Add Custom Field.

Field 3

  • Field Title: OAD Profile
  • Field Type: Short Text
  • Provider: User
  • Default Setting for New Jobs: Enabled
  • Click Add Custom Field.

Create Employee Custom Fields

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Under Employee Management, select Profile Template.
  3. Create a new section named OAD.
  4. Inside the section, create a subsection named OAD.

Add the following fields:

Field 1

  • Field Title: OAD Health Status
  • Field Type: Short Text
  • Click Done.

Field 2

  • Field Title: OAD Profile
  • Field Type: Paragraph
  • Click Done.

Step 1: Find Your Workable Domain

  • Sign in to Workable.
  • Look at your browser’s address bar.

Example:
https://companyname.workable.com

  1. Copy only the company name before .workable.com.
Example:
  • URL: https://example.workable.com
  • Domain to enter in OAD: example

Step 2: Generate an API Access Token

  1. In Workable, go to Settings.
  2. Under Integrations, select Apps.
  3. Locate the API Access Token section.
  4. Click Generate API Token.
  5. Enter OAD as the token name.
  6. Set the expiration date to the longest period available.
  7. Select the following API scopes:
    • r_candidates
    • r_employees
    • r_jobs
    • w_candidates
    • w_employees
  8. Click Generate Token.
  9. Copy the generated API token.

Important: Save the token immediately. Depending on your Workable settings, you may not be able to view it again.

Step 3: Connect Workable in OAD

  1. Sign in to OAD.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Integrations.
  4. Click Connect next to Workable.
  5. Enter your Workable Domain (company name only).
  6. Paste your API Access Token.
  7. Click Connect.

Disconnect Workable from OAD

Follow these steps to disconnect your Workable integration from OAD.

  1. Sign in to your OAD account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Integrations.
  4. Locate the Workable integration.
  5. Click Remove next to the connected Workable account.
  6. Confirm the removal when prompted.

Note: Disconnecting the integration stops OAD from syncing data with your Workable account. Existing data already imported into OAD will not be deleted unless removed separately.
