Follow the steps below to connect OAD to BambooHR:

Prerequisite: Create Required Custom Fields

Before connecting BambooHR to OAD, you must create the required custom fields in BambooHR.

Create Employee Custom Fields

Sign in to your BambooHR account.
Go to Settings.
Select Custom Fields & Tables.
Click Add.
Click Custom Field.

Field 1

Field Name: OAD Health Status
Type: Short Answer
Field Status: Optional
Employee Profile Tab: Job
Section Within selected tab: Job
Click Save.

Field 2

Field Name: OAD Profile
Type: Short Answer
Field Status: Optional
Employee Profile Tab: Job
Section Within selected tab: Job
Click Save.

Step 1: Find Your BambooHR Domain

Sign in to your BambooHR account.
Look at your browser’s address bar.

Example:
https://companyname.bamboohr.com/home

Copy only the company name before .bamboohr.com.

Step 2: Create an API Key

In BambooHR, click your Profile icon in the bottom-left corner.
Select API Keys.
Click New API Key.
Enter OAD as the API Key name.
Create the key.
Copy the generated API key immediately.

Important: Store the API key somewhere safe. Depending on BambooHR’s settings, you may not be able to view it again after leaving the page.

Step 3: Connect BambooHR in OAD

Sign in to OAD.
Go to Settings.
Select Integrations.
Click Connect next to BambooHR.
Enter your BambooHR Domain (only the company name, not the full URL).
Paste the API key you copied from BambooHR.
Click Connect.

Disconnect BambooHR from OAD

Follow these steps to disconnect your BambooHR integration from OAD.

Sign in to your OAD account.
Go to Settings.
Select Integrations.
Locate the BambooHR integration.
Click Remove next to the connected BambooHR account.
Confirm the removal when prompted.
